For Recognised Centres

OCN South West Region works with all types of learning providers – schools, colleges and universities, training providers, community and voluntary organisations, and prisons and young offender services to name just a few.

Our aim is to work with you to help achieve your business goals, whether that’s to attract and retain more learners or to turn round the lives of those who are struggling to succeed. By working closely with you, we will help deliver accredited programmes and qualifications that meet national standards.

The nationally recognised NOCN qualifications and courses we offer are used by over 2,500 centres in the UK and nearly one million learners qualify in them each year. Thousands of ‘units of learning’ are available which can be combined flexibly in a way that is appropriate to your needs and which are suitable for use in all types of learning environments. Many are likely to be eligible for funding.

We can also use our expertise to work with you to develop and accredit new courses or training programmes to enable you to respond to local market needs. At the same time we can put in place the necessary quality assurance procedures including training of staff where necessary.

To deliver any of our courses/qualifications you need to become a 'Recognised Centre' with us. Our experienced and knowledgeable Development Managers are ready to discuss your needs and explain the options available to you, without obligation and at no charge.

They can also advise you on:

  • current national learning and skills developments
  • NOCN qualifications and credit-based learning
  • training programmes and curriculum development
  • funding opportunities

If you are already approved to run N/OCN courses then please contact your Development Manager to discuss your course options. If you are interested in becoming a 'Recognised Centre' then please call the Plymouth Office on 01752 831500 or complete a New Business Enquiry Form and email to info@ocnswr.org.uk
