Where can I study an OCNSWR course?
OCNSWR courses are offered at many colleges, schools and other organisations. You can call us on 01752 831500 and we will provide you with details of approved OCNSWR centres in your area.
How will learning be assessed?
Your tutor will tell you more about how your learning is to be assessed. On most OCNSWR courses your work will be assessed throughout the duration of your course by your tutor and this does not involve exams. E.g. your coursework that you produce such as computer printouts, projects or paintings will show you and your tutor what you have learnt.
What if I am moving part way through my learning?
NOCN credits are nationally recognised by NOCN as part of national qualifications. This means that if you move to another part of the country your credits can move with you and you can achieve more credits at your new location with a new centre.
What are credits?
Credits are a way of measuring time spent learning. One credit represents 10 hours of total learning time, including time with a tutor and private study or homework. For more information about credits and levels please click here.
How do I get my certificate?
The centre where you are learning is responsible for registering you with OCNSWR. The centre notifies OCNSWR of your achievement and we will then issue your certificate, which your centre will forward to you.
How do I get a replacement certificate?
Contact the centre where you studied and ask them to submit a Replacement Certificate Request form to OCNSWR. If the centre is unable to help you then you can submit a Learner Replacement Certificate Request form which you can find by clicking here.
