Become a Recognised Centre

If your organisation would like to deliver Open College Network courses or qualifications, or you would like to accredit a course you have developed, your organisation must first become a Recognised Centre.

To offer our accredited qualifications, to gain accreditation for your own courses and training, or develop new national qualifications, please follow the simple steps below.

CR Process

Either complete a New Business Enquiry Form and return by email, or call 01752 831500 to discuss your enquiry with a member of our Business Development Team.

You will receive an enquiry pack detailing the recognition process and providing company information including our charging structure. It will include details of your Development Manager, who will personally contact you to discuss your enquiry further within 10 working days.

Meet with your Development Manager to discuss the requirements for becoming a Recognised Centre and to complete relevant paperwork.

Complete, sign and post the Centre Recognition Application Form back to our Plymouth Office, and send an electronic copy via email.  You will be invoiced at this stage for the New Centre Recognition Fee.

*Please note this fee is non-refundable.

Pay the Centre Recognition invoice.  You will not be officially recognised until this fee is paid in full. (Full details of charges can be found on our Fees and Charges page).

Discuss your Curriculum Plan and N/OCN course options with your Development Manager.  Ensure all necessary quality assurance and assessment processes and policies are in place, to meet our requirements.

We will then consider your application. If all requirements have been met and the recognition fee has been paid, we will approve Centre Recognition. You will be advised of this via email.

We will post a Welcome Pack with official notification of OCNSWR approval, including your Centre Recognition Certificate.  You will be allocated a dedicated OCNSWR customer support team to assist with getting started and for on-going support and customer service.

You can also download these 'Simple Steps to Becoming a Recognised Centre'.

For more details on the systems and processes you will need in place to become a 'Recognised Centre' please have a read through the 'NOCN Centre Handbook'.

If your organisation is already a Recognised Centre and you would like to deliver a new course or qualification please contact your Development Manager or call the Plymouth Office on 01752 831500.
