Higher Education and Access Committee (HEAC)

The HEAC is responsible for overseeing the approval and quality assurance of QAA-Recognised Access to HE provision within the AVA and the award of Access to HE Diplomas and Credit Certificates. 

The Committee meets regularly (at least once a term) and reports to the OCNSWR Board. An annual report is made by the HEAC to QAA, summarising the AVAs activities. Feedback from HEAC meetings is a standing item on the agenda of the Access Forum meetings.

Membership of the HEAC

Membership is made up of representatives from HEIs, Access Providers and Partners within the region. All Access providers, HEIs and Partners working within the region are welcome to attend HEAC meetings and may nominate a representative to work as a member of the HEAC as vacancies arise.
